Audi RS Q8

The RS Q8 shares its platform, its engine and most of its running gear with the Lamborghini Urus. It has 600 horsepower, four-wheel steering and a 48-volt active anti-roll system that keeps two and a half tonnes astonishingly flat, and for a while it held the SUV lap record at the Nürburgring.

What it does differently is keep quiet about it. From the outside it reads as a big black Audi until you notice the quad exhausts and the width of the arches.

Ours is black over black RS honeycomb leather with red stitching, RS-embroidered seats, the panoramic roof and configurable ambient lighting. Gloss-black styling pack and red brake calipers.

Five proper seats, a full-size boot and supercar pace. It is valeted, safety-checked and fuelled before every handover, and photographed at collection and return.
