Lamborghini Huracán Performante

640 horsepower from five point two litres, no turbochargers anywhere, and a red line at 8,500rpm. The Performante revs in a way that turbocharged supercars simply cannot, and the noise it makes at the top of third gear is the entire reason people book it.

Underneath it is Lamborghini's ALA active aerodynamic system — motorised flaps in the front splitter and rear wing that open and close in milliseconds, cutting drag on the straights and loading the inside wheel through a corner.

Ours is in Verde green over black Alcantara with matching green detailing, Performante-embroidered bucket seats and bronze forged alloys over green calipers. Forged Composite carbon on the splitter, bonnet and wing.

It is valeted, safety-checked and fuelled before every handover, and photographed at collection and return. Two seats and almost no luggage space — this one is booked for the occasion, not the airport run.
