About The Cullinan
Rolls-Royce took the Phantom's aluminium architecture, raised it, and put four-wheel drive underneath. The result is the only SUV in the world with coach doors, a Spirit of Ecstasy on the nose and six and three-quarter litres of twin-turbo V12 doing the work in near silence.
They call the ride the "magic carpet", and it is not marketing. Self-levelling air suspension reads the road ahead through a camera and adjusts before you reach the bump.
Ours is black with the polished pantheon grille and a Mandarin orange hide interior — a genuinely rare combination — with the starlight headliner overhead and the umbrellas in the doors.
It goes out for weddings, walimas and airport runs in roughly equal measure. Valeted, safety-checked and fuelled before every handover, and photographed at collection and return.
